Google Analytics and Google Search Console together are the two Google tools most businesses need to analyze website data, and they answer two different questions rather than duplicating each other.
Search Console answers “how is my site doing in search?”: which queries bring people to your site, your average ranking position for each one, click-through rate, and any indexing errors stopping Google from showing a page at all. Google Analytics (GA4) answers “what happens once they arrive?”: where visitors came from, which pages they viewed, how long they stayed, and whether they actually converted into a lead or a sale. Looking at either one alone gives you half the picture. A page can rank #3 and get plenty of clicks (a Search Console win) while converting nobody because the page itself doesn’t match what the visitor was expecting (a GA4 problem).
Beyond those two, a few Google tools serve narrower jobs:
Google Analytics (GA4) shows what happens after someone lands on your site, Search Console shows how you’re doing in search itself, and you need both set up correctly to see the full picture. Awrange sets up and interprets both for clients every month, translating the numbers into what to actually fix next. Reach out if your GA4 or Search Console setup needs a second look.
